The anticipation for this film has been building and building. Questions being asked like: Is Margot Robbie the best choice to place Elizabeth? After watching this trailer I’m impressed as how both women truly seem to encompass the female monarchs, the “sisters”.
I only have a couple of complaints after seeing this:
1. Elizabeth and Mary NEVER met in person
2. Mary would not have had such a strong Scottish accent. She was in France from the time she was like 5 until about 18 – she most likely would have had a strong French accent.

Dont think Ill be able to watch it because of the nonsense about them meeting and the stupid Scottish accent. Couldnt watch The Tudors for the same reason.
I don’t know what bothers me more, Mary’s Scottish accent or Elizabeth’s somewhat American one.
As I love this period in history I will watch it. However the accent would have been French and as said previously they NEVER met, Two really annoying features. But I judge it once I have watched it.
I know it’s not accurate but I will still watch it.
I’ll wait until I see it to give my thoughts, but, I do think that Kate Blanchard (sp) played the best Queen Elizabeth.
I agree entirely with your points. I also think Elizabeth looks too old, but who can be sure. Mary did believe the English crown was hers by right too. Not sure if I’ll watch this.

Mary had an extraordinary life. It would be great if it was portrayed accurately instead of having events that never happenned.
I can forgive the accent, but the highly inaccurate relationship between Mary and Elizabeth is maddening. I know it was written this way for dramatic purposes, but I think it’s much more fascinating that they never met.
