1531 – Henry VIII left on royal progress without Katherine of Aragon, marking the last time they saw one another.

1533 – Pope Clement VII ordered Henry VIII to abandon Anne Boleyn; a bull of excommunication was drawn up but suspended in hopes the King would obey the Clement’s ruling. For more, click here.
